Terme Lucane

Terme Lucane is a thermal center located in Latronico, province of Potenza, in the heart of the Ecological Thermal District of Pollino - Sirino - Maratea. This unspoiled corner of Basilicata is characterized by a lush landscape, with the Pollino National Park as its highest expression. Nearby, you can find the sea of Maratea, the snows of Monte Sirino, a ski resort, and the lake of Senise, providing an ideal combination of nature and wellness.

The thermal waters of Terme Lucane are known for their therapeutic properties, with a constant temperature of 22°C. Chemical analyses have revealed the presence of calcium bicarbonate and sulfate, with a radioactivity of 44 millimicrocuries, classifying them as hypotonic and radioactive waters. Bacteriological purity is ensured by continuous monitoring.

The thermal center is open seasonally, generally from May 6 to October 31, offering a wide range of services for the well-being of visitors.

The origins of the thermal waters of Latronico date back to prehistoric times, as evidenced by archaeological research that uncovered votive offerings in the Calda caves, located near the springs, considered by scholars as sacred deposits related to the worship of health waters.

In 1993, Terme Lucane began its activity under the name Terme La Calda, becoming a reference point for local medicine and the thermal care and wellness needs of Latronico and neighboring municipalities. In 2004, management passed to Terme Lucane S.r.l., which continued to invest in the structure and the services offered.

Over the years, Terme Lucane has expanded and improved its facilities, doubling the cabins for hydromassages, renovating the vascular paths, and increasing the inhalation therapy stations. In 2016, a wellness center was inaugurated with saunas, a steam bath, a hot tub, and a massage room.

The thermal waters of Terme Lucane are classified as calcium bicarbonate and sulfate, with a radioactivity of 44 millimicrocuries, placing them in the category of hypotonic and radioactive waters. These characteristics make them particularly suitable for specific therapeutic treatments.

The wellness center, inaugurated in 2016, features two saunas, a steam bath, a multi-hydromassage tub, emotional showers, and a massage and relaxation room, providing a complete wellness experience.
