The Castle San Pietro Thermal Baths are located in the valley of the Sillaro River, between Bologna and Imola, surrounded by tranquility and greenery. The thermal waters in the area have been known since the Middle Ages and have received official recognition from the Ministry of Health for their therapeutic properties. The facility offers a wide range of treatments for various ailments, including inhalations, mud-bath therapy, and vascular pathways. It also features two hotel facilities: the three-star Hotel delle Terme, directly connected to the treatment departments, and the four-star Anusca Palace Hotel, located opposite the thermal center. Both hotels provide high-quality services to ensure a comfortable stay for visitors.

The thermal waters of Castle San Pietro have been known since 1337, with the first scientific studies on their properties dating back to 1830. In 1835, the Thermal Society was established, initiating the modern use of the waters for drinking and balneotherapy. In 1869, under the Kingdom of Italy, a new thermal establishment was opened, completed in 1891. After World War II, the facility was rebuilt and expanded, aiming to promote health maintenance through thermal and rehabilitative therapies. In 2017, the property was acquired by Anusca srl, which continues to pursue the goal of offering cutting-edge thermal services.

The Castle San Pietro Thermal Baths use two types of thermal waters: sulfurous water and salsobromoiodic water. Sulfurous water, rich in hydrogen sulfide, is indicated for the treatment of respiratory, otolaryngological, and bronchopulmonary conditions, including allergies. It is also used for dermatological baths, with anti-inflammatory and regenerative effects on the skin, and for articular-rheumatic baths, with anti-inflammatory effects in rheumatic forms and remineralizing processes in osteoporosis. Salsobromoiodic water, rich in minerals such as sodium, bromine, and iodine, is used for preparing mud for mud therapy, with anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects in osteoarticular and rheumatic conditions. Additionally, it is used in articular-rheumatic baths, with anti-inflammatory and decongestive effects, and in inhalation treatments, with anti-inflammatory action on the respiratory mucosa.
