Terme Pompeo

Terme Pompeo is a holistic thermal center located in Ferentino, in the province of Frosinone, in the heart of Ciociaria. Founded in 1854 by Ambrogio Pompeo, the facility is among the 150 oldest certified companies in Italy. Surrounded by ancient olive trees and the beauty of historic villages and centuries-old abbeys, it offers an ideal environment for personal wellness and care.

In 1854, Ambrogio Pompeo built the Ancient Thermal building, equipped with 14 cabins for thermal baths. In 1870, the management passed to his son Francesco Pompeo, and subsequently, in the 1980s, to the third generation represented by Domenico Pompeo. In 1924, the thermal complex and park underwent complete renovation under the initiative of Emilio Pompeo, son of Domenico. In 1957, together with his mother Marianna Mobilj Carrara, he created a direct entrance on the Casilina road, improving and expanding the park with lime trees. In 1973, the establishment was expanded with a second floor dedicated to inhalation treatments and therapeutic baths, adding the hydromassage service in thermal water. In 1984, the company built a new thermal complex of over 10,000 square meters, including a conference center, a bar, and medical offices. In 1995, the complex began to host a diagnostic center with CT and MRI, as well as a cardiology center. Always in 1995, the wellness services were enriched with the opening of an aesthetic center. In subsequent years, the facility was further enhanced with the opening of a hotel, a restaurant, and a shopping gallery. In 2006, a fitness club of over 3,000 square meters was inaugurated, and subsequently, the balneotherapy departments were renovated, a mud therapy department was opened, and in 2010, an area for neuromotor and respiratory rehabilitation was added.

The waters of Terme Pompeo are classified as sulfur-bicarbonate-calcium, with a temperature of 18°C. These waters are useful for treating diseases of the respiratory tract, otolaryngological, vascular, rheumatic, dermatological, and for rehabilitative therapies. Scientific studies have shown that regular visits to the thermal baths can positively impact quality of life and longevity.
