The Arta Thermal Baths are owned by the municipality and managed by Terme FVG, a company controlled by Sanatorio Triestino di GHC. Recently, a new pool area was inaugurated, with an investment of over 7 million euros, which includes a covered pavilion with a central 20-meter fun pool, indoor and outdoor pools with hydromassage and a renovated inhalation department.
History
The Arta Thermal Baths have a long history that dates back to Roman times when Acqua Pudia was already known for its therapeutic properties. Over the centuries, the combination of the qualities of the water and the mountain air has contributed to the reputation of Arta Terme as a wellness destination. A witness to this tradition is Giosuè Carducci, who spent time in Arta Terme and praised the therapeutic properties of the local water and air in his letters, dedicating a poem to the town.
